Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Benê Vasconcelos got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the game, one of Tipucu:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Tipucu:s Dalmo Rezende showed great skill when he stopped Abel Aparecido:s penalty. After 12 played minutes Caratacá E.C got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Pernambucano. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caratacá E.C's goalkeeper Marcelo Branco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Benê Vasconcelos came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Tipucu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benê Vasconcelos couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murillo de Barros in the 40th minute of play forced Tipucu's goalkeeper Dalmo Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Murillo de Barros struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Dalmo Rezende didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caratacá E.C.
The wind increased when Murillo de Barros made the kick off in the second half. Abel Aparecido hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Jaime Breckenfeld's late challenge caught a Tipucu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caratacá E.C's goalkeeper Marcelo Branco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Caratacá E.C players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tipucu.
