Atibaia E.C.'s Pedro Luís Paraense tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Birigué fc booed when Atibaia E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agnaldo Moreno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atibaia E.C.'s Pedro Luís Paraense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fermin Havier in the 18th minute of play. Paulinho Braga charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulinho Braga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th minute, Paulinho Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atibaia E.C.'s Pedro Luís Paraense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fermin Havier in the 23rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raul Bitxintxo in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Luís Paraense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If André Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Luís Paraense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Bitxintxo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Raul Bitxintxo came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Birigué fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raul Bitxintxo couldn't finish the play. If Fermin Havier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Fermin Havier notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Atibaia E.C.'s Pedro Luís Paraense. Pedro Luís Paraense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raul Bitxintxo to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Raul Bitxintxo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Birigué fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raul Bitxintxo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Luís Paraense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Fernando Salgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andrei Penescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Pedro Luís Paraense made a huge save. Pedro Luís Paraense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raul Bitxintxo's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Birigué fc's Fermin Havier got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Raul Bitxintxo came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Birigué fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raul Bitxintxo couldn't finish the play. Raul Bitxintxos short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Pedro Luís Paraense to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 79 minutes into the game, Atibaia E.C.'s José Pedro Paiva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfredinho Amaral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. 84 minutes into the match, Atibaia E.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Fernando Salgado came free, but Pedro Luís Paraense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Luís Paraense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raul Bitxintxo's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Pedro Luís Paraense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Fernando Salgado in the 92nd minute of the match. Célio Neto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded Birigué fc left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Atibaia E.C..
