In the 9th minute Kauã de Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Llope saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raúl Velasco in the 11th minute of play forced Atibaia E.C.'s goalkeeper Pedro Luís Paraense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Luís Paraense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raúl Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 15th match minute, Atibaia E.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Pedro Paiva to maneuver through the defense. Erik Camargo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Raúl Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guairas's supporters rose to their feet, but Raúl Velasco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Luís Paraense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 21st minute, José Pedro Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 26 minutes, Florentino Llope successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Atibaia E.C.'s Pedro Luís Paraense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raúl Velasco in the 29th minute of play. Arí Travassos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Luís Paraense having to make a save. If José Pedro Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raúl Velasco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Luís Paraense having to make a save. 37 minutes into the match, Atibaia E.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Erik Camargo came free, but Pedro Luís Paraense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner ended in Raúl Velasco almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Atibaia E.C.'s Pedro Luís Paraense did a great save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Raúl Velasco made the kick off in the second half. Raúl Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Pedro Luís Paraense was a little too slow when Erik Camargo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 0-1. Pedro Luís Paraense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Velasco in the 69th minute of play. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Atibaia E.C.'s goalkeeper Pedro Luís Paraense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pedro Luís Paraense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raúl Velasco in the 77th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raúl Velasco got free with Pedro Luís Paraense in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arí Travassos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raúl Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luís Paraense having to interfere. Pedro Luís Paraense came out of the goal and Erik Camargo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florentino Llope took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauã de Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute, Guairas's Raúl Velasco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Guairas played a much better game than Atibaia E.C. and deserved their victory. The Atibaia E.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
