Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Matías Prado started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. José Vítor Diniz might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vânderson Paranaense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Vítor Diniz ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Santo Agostinho booed when Guarajuba SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Fernando Sampaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Santo Agostinho's João Paulo Monteiro broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After having played for 15 minutes, Caetano Coutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santo Agostinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caetano Coutinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Santo Agostinho's José Vítor Diniz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vânderson Paranaense. That made the score 1-0 after 17 minutes of play. Caetano Coutinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Santo Agostinho's Cristiano Peres got a free kick in the 21st minute. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Lino Custódio sped through Santo Agostinho's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Álvaro do Nascimento. Lino Custódio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro do Nascimento having to interfere. In the 26th match minute, Santo Agostinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Peres to maneuver through the defense. José Vítor Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Vânderson Paranaense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristiano Peres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caetano Coutinho got free with Vânderson Paranaense in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Guarajuba SS's goalkeeper Vânderson Paranaense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Lino Custódio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Vítor Diniz to make the kick off. In the 51st minute José Vítor Diniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vânderson Paranaense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santo Agostinho's Caetano Coutinho got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vânderson Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Vítor Diniz in the 64th minute of the match. Adriano Proença took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vânderson Paranaense. Guarajuba SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Vítor Diniz in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vânderson Paranaense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedro Augusto Saraiva's late challenge caught a Santo Agostinho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Augusto Saraiva helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st minute, Pedro Augusto Saraiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caetano Coutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Vânderson Paranaense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vânderson Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Vítor Diniz in the 74th minute of the match. Vânderson Paranaense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. When Dagoberto Souza fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santo Agostinho's protests and gave Dagoberto Souza a yellow card for diving instead. Álvaro do Nascimento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lino Custódio in the 80th minute. Claudinei Jacinto hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the match, Guarajuba SS's goal looked a bit too open when José Vítor Diniz came free, but Vânderson Paranaense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caetano Coutinho scored 4-1 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vânderson Paranaense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. José Vítor Diniz might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vânderson Paranaense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Vítor Diniz ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, José Vítor Diniz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santo Agostinho's supporters rose to their feet, but José Vítor Diniz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vânderson Paranaense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the Santo Agostinho players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
