Spectators: 7090 (Terracing: 5465, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Sidnei Rezende got the match started through his kick off. After 3 minutes, Sidnei Rezende made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. A.D São Caetano's Jean Guerra tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sidnei Rezende got free with Jean Guerra in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sidnei Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean Guerra having to interfere. Augusto Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Neto having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Hermínio Cabral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Francisco Neto was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Sidnei Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Jean Guerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, A.D São Caetano's goalkeeper Jean Guerra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gualter Fontes. Luiz Eduardo Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Jean Guerra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jaibaras. A.D São Caetano's Jean Guerra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save A.D São Caetano from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sidnei Rezende in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jean Guerra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

If Sidnei Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, A.D São Caetano's Sílvio Luiz de Mendonça got a free kick in the 53rd minute. When Jaibaras's Sidnei Rezende in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye A.D São Caetano's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Jaibaras's Francisco Neto got control of the ball when Augusto Soeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jean Guerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualter Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Jaibaras's Roger Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute Walmir Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celso Arruda hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. The supporters of A.D São Caetano booed when Jaibaras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidnei Rezende didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71stth minute of the game Sidnei Rezende who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.D São Caetano's Jean Guerra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sidnei Rezende recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jean Guerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualter Fontes in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute Hermínio Cabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Neto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmir Lira, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. The audience was convinced that Sidnei Rezende's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jean Guerra was relentless in the 90th minute of the game.
