Spectators: 7274 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) Guarajuba SS's Matías Prado started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matías Prado during the 6th minute. The supporters of Bailique booed when Guarajuba SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger de Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vânderson Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agnaldo Mendonça in the 11th minute of the match. Lino Custódio took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Paulo Costa. Luís Paulo Costa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jerônimo Baiano in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vânderson Paranaense saved Guarajuba SS from getting behind. Matías Prado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Paulo Costa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Guarajuba SS's Delfim de Salles shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 23rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Luís Paulo Costa but with some difficulty. In the 24th minute, Durval Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 27 minutes, Delfim de Salles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guarajuba SS and the Bailique players grew even worse after the yellow card. Delfim de Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agnaldo Mendonça in the 31st minute of play forced Guarajuba SS's goalkeeper Vânderson Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Durval Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 34 minutes of play Guarajuba SS's Delfim de Salles was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Bailique made a substitution. Gabriel Mendes replaced Agnaldo Mendonça. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of Guarajuba SS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bailique:s goal. The referee gave Bailique a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. Vânderson Paranaense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel Mendes in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vânderson Paranaense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Breno Barros's late challenge caught a Guarajuba SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
