After a rather tough play, Atlético Maneiro FC's Tião Favoretto got a free kick in the 15th minute. Chiquinho de Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualter Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. When Jaibaras's Dráuzio Dante in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Atlético Maneiro FC's Nuno Lopez shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 38th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Francisco Neto but with some difficulty. Roger Lopes's late challenge caught a Atlético Maneiro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roger Lopes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th match minute, Jaibaras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Lopes to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dráuzio Dante was the one to do the kick off. After 57 played minutes Atlético Maneiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Ediberto Rodrigues. Gualter Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chiquinho de Castro having to interfere. The supporters of Atlético Maneiro FC booed when Jaibaras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dráuzio Dante in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chiquinho de Castro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roger Lopes was shown his second yellow card after 72 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Francisco Neto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 76th minute, Gustavo Nogueira made a precise shot to the right of Francisco Neto. Jaibaras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Sidnei Rezende could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Chiquinho de Castro made a huge save. 89 minutes into the match, Dráuzio Dante notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Atlético Maneiro FC's Chiquinho de Castro. Chiquinho de Castro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 93 minutes into the match, Jaibaras's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Nogueira came free, but Francisco Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atlético Maneiro FC's Nuno Lopez got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Jaibaras could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atlético Maneiro FC throughout the match.
