The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Egídio Peixoto during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bailique made a substitution. Egídio Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Florindo getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Genílson Paraense hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the match, Florindo's goalkeeper Manoel Maciel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerônimo Baiano. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Agnaldo Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bailique's supporters rose to their feet, but Agnaldo Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manoel Maciel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vítor Paranaense took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luís Paulo Costa. Bailique's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Florindo's goal looked a bit too open when Agnaldo Mendonça came free, but Manoel Maciel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute of the match, Agnaldo Mendonça tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Manoel Maciel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gilvan Couto charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilvan Couto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gilvan Couto hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After having played for 23 minutes, Durval Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bailique's supporters crossed their fingers, but Durval Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Bailique booed when Florindo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egídio Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute Agnaldo Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manoel Maciel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Egídio Peixoto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Bailique's Agnaldo Mendonça sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manoel Maciel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jerônimo Baiano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Manoel Maciel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Florindo's zone, Agnaldo Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manoel Maciel came out of the goal and Agnaldo Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Agnaldo Mendonça's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manoel Maciel was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Jerônimo Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Manoel Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manoel Maciel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerônimo Baiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jeferson Cavalcante to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Florindo's zone, Agnaldo Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manoel Maciel came out of the goal and Agnaldo Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Genílson Paraense kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Agnaldo Mendonça got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luís Paulo Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeferson Cavalcante in the 61st minute of the match. Luís Paulo Costa made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Renatinho Donato sent off a good shot on target. 66 minutes into the match, Florindo's Jeferson Cavalcante sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Paulo Costa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Durval Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Agnaldo Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Maciel having to interfere. After 76 minutes of play, Bailique's Agnaldo Mendonça made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manoel Maciel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Manoel Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agnaldo Mendonça in the 83rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerônimo Baiano in the 85th minute of play forced Florindo's goalkeeper Manoel Maciel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agnaldo Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Paulo Costa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeferson Cavalcante in the 88th minute. Walmir Azevedo lost his temper 90 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bailique fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 89th minute. Penalty! Luís Paulo Costa had in the 92ndth minute some difficulties stopping Miguel Velloso's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Manoel Maciel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerônimo Baiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Bailique players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
