Augusto Perez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Flávio Galvão having to make a save. Flávio Galvão made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Ernesto Alcântara sent off a good shot on target. 13 minutes into the match, AJEG's goalkeeper Flávio Galvão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernesto Alcântara. Ernesto Alcântara scored 2-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Flávio Galvão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Serginho Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Guilax Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serginho Rocha couldn't finish the play. Guilax Football Club's Ernesto Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. AJEG's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Ernesto Alcântara scored to the left of an out of position Flávio Galvão, making the score, 3-0. 39 minutes into the match, AJEG's goalkeeper Flávio Galvão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernesto Alcântara. AJEG's Flávio Galvão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save AJEG from getting a goal against them. Augusto Perez struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Flávio Galvão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guilax Football Club. Augusto Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Galvão having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Ernesto Alcântara made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Guilax Football Club's zone, Noel Bittencourt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeremias Ramalho came out of the goal and Noel Bittencourt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adilson Abraão got free with Jeremias Ramalho in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adilson Abraão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Ramalho having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernesto Alcântara in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flávio Galvão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mauro Nascimento hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Adilson Abraão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AJEG fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Augusto Perez kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. If Adilson Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Noel Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Ramalho having to interfere. Augusto Perez's late challenge caught a AJEG's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Augusto Perez helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of AJEG booed when Guilax Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Ernesto Alcântara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flávio Galvão. AJEG's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ernesto Alcântara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. The throw-in from Angelo Trancoso in the 91st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Guilax Football Club's Virgílio Alvarenga. Jeremias Ramalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Bittencourt in the 95th minute of play. Jeremias Ramalho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adilson Abraão in the 97th minute. Guilax Football Club were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of AJEG for a fine match.
