One of ZAVIADO:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Santo Agostinho:s goal. When José Vítor Diniz came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Santo Agostinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Vítor Diniz couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Vítor Diniz in the 39th minute of play forced ZAVIADO's goalkeeper Ronaldão França to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caetano Coutinho got free with Ronaldão França in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. ZAVIADO's Ronaldão França proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save ZAVIADO from getting a goal against them. After 47 minutes of play, Santo Agostinho's Dagoberto Souza made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. ZAVIADO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santo Agostinho the free kick. After a rather tough play, ZAVIADO's Raúl Cunha got a free kick in the 77th minute.
