Augusto Soeiro succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 13th playminute. Jean Guerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Nogueira in the 17th minute of play. Walmir Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Augusto Soeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.D São Caetano's supporters rose to their feet, but Augusto Soeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chiquinho de Castro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jean Guerra came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Maneiro FC's José Pedro Dante. But to his dismay, José Pedro Dante quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 33rd minute Caio Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean Guerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Augusto Soeiro in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Chiquinho de Castro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Augusto Soeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chiquinho de Castro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Walmir Lira's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute, Walmir Lira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind A.D São Caetano's goalkeeper Jean Guerra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Augusto Soeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Atlético Maneiro FC's Chiquinho de Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Soeiro in the 94th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. A.D São Caetano fully deserved thier win.
