Spectators: 7158 (Terracing: 5379, Seating: 1649, VIP seats: 130) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Matías Prado kicked off to start the match. AJEG's Flávio Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Custódio in the 4th minute of play. Matías Prado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo Camargo's late challenge caught a Guarajuba SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Camargo helped the player get up and apologised. Paulo Camargo hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. If Lino Custódio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauro Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Custódio in the 16th minute of play forced AJEG's goalkeeper Flávio Galvão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Guarajuba SS booed when AJEG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cássio Rezende didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudinei Jacinto missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 23 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Flávio Galvão right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in AJEG's zone, Matías Prado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flávio Galvão came out of the goal and Matías Prado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 34 minutes, Adilson Abraão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AJEG and the Guarajuba SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to AJEG getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Adilson Abraão hit a great ball. If Lino Custódio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lino Custódio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Galvão having to interfere. Carlos Fernando Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vânderson Paranaense was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Angelo Trancoso. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adilson Abraão to strike the kick off in the second half. AJEG's Flávio Galvão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save AJEG from getting a goal against them. Lino Custódio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Flávio Galvão came out and tried to block the shot, but Lino Custódio slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 55th minute. Vânderson Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Bittencourt in the 60th minute of play. Noel Bittencourt might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vânderson Paranaense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Noel Bittencourt ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 65th minute, Lino Custódio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Guarajuba SS's Carlos Fernando Sampaio got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 81st minute Adilson Abraão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vânderson Paranaense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adilson Abraão in the 86th minute of play forced Guarajuba SS's goalkeeper Vânderson Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Lino Custódio came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Guarajuba SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lino Custódio couldn't finish the play. Vânderson Paranaense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flávio Galvão made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Lino Custódio sent off a good shot on target. When AJEG's Adilson Abraão in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guarajuba SS's goalie prevented a goal. Guarajuba SS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
