Spectators: 7253 (Terracing: 5441, Seating: 1668, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Walmir Lira started the match with the kick off. When Walmir Lira came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the A.D São Caetano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walmir Lira couldn't finish the play. Walmir Lira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Augusto Soeiro struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Manoel Maciel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.D São Caetano. In the 8th match minute, Florindo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Eduardo Campidelis to maneuver through the defense. Renatinho Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Jean Guerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 40 played minutes A.D São Caetano got a freekick which was hit by Hermínio Cabral. Jean Guerra made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Renatinho Donato sent off a good shot on target. Renatinho Donato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeferson Cavalcante made a kick off. In the 62ndth minute of the game Jeferson Cavalcante who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.D São Caetano's Jean Guerra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 62 minutes, Jeferson Cavalcante made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. A.D São Caetano's Jean Guerra tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 66th minute, Jeferson Cavalcante ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jean Guerra was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Augusto Soeiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Manoel Maciel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 74 played minutes Florindo got a freekick which was hit by Gilvan Couto. Jeferson Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The penalty shot was made by Sílvio Luiz de Mendonça, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Florindo's Manoel Maciel. 4-2. Manoel Maciel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmir Lira in the 97th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Florindo were the better team. Florindo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
