Sambaqui's Waldir Sá proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Sambaqui from getting a goal against them. During the 10th minute of the match Isaltino Ortiz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Isaltino Ortiz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Sambaqui getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Isaltino Ortiz hit a great ball. After 14 minutes, Valdir Loureiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sambaqui and the ForFun players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th minute, Valdir Loureiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Lúcio Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sambaqui's supporters rose to their feet, but Lúcio Gomes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geovanni Pimenta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Willian Cavalcante might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Geovanni Pimenta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Willian Cavalcante ran back to his position shaking his head. If Geovanni Siqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute there was a penalty for Sambaqui. Aníbal Lima stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Geovanni Pimenta. 0-1. The supporters of ForFun booed when Sambaqui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willian Cavalcante didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th play minute Emerson Aparecido came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Waldir Sá. 1-1. Lúcio Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Waldir Sá made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Emerson Aparecido sent off a good shot on target. In the 49th minute, Emerson Aparecido got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Lúcio Gomes made the kick off in the second half. If Emerson Aparecido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emerson Aparecido recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 62 played minutes ForFun got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Augusto Rezende. Valdir Loureiro missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 64 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Geovanni Pimenta right hand side. Geovanni Pimenta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdir Loureiro in the 69th minute of the match. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by ForFun's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aníbal Lima was slow to take the kick. During this time Sambaqui's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Aníbal Lima got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Geovanni Pimenta quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to ForFun getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Jeremias Neves hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, Emerson Aparecido ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Waldir Sá was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 78 minutes into the match, ForFun's goalkeeper Geovanni Pimenta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lúcio Gomes. Wesley Peres's late challenge caught a Sambaqui's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wesley Peres helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th match minute, ForFun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wesley Peres to maneuver through the defense. ForFun's Gildo Pimenta got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sambaqui's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
