Spectators: 7145 (Terracing: 5392, Seating: 1653, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Walmyr França kicked off to start the match. In the 4thth minute of the game Lúcio Gomes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esperança's Wellington de Sousa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Sambaqui booed when Esperança was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaká Paraibano didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jeremias Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waldir Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walmyr França in the 12th minute of play. Geovanni Siqueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington de Sousa having to interfere. When Esperança's Walmyr França in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sambaqui's goalie prevented a goal. Geovanni Siqueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lúcio Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 39 minutes into the match, Esperança's goal looked a bit too open when Geovanni Siqueira came free, but Wellington de Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wellington de Sousa came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Sambaqui's Geovanni Siqueira. But to his dismay, Geovanni Siqueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geovanni Siqueira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Esperança's goal looked a bit too open when Geovanni Siqueira came free, but Wellington de Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sambaqui's Waldir Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Mazza in the 55th minute of play. After having played for 59 minutes, Walmyr França managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esperança's supporters crossed their fingers, but Walmyr França was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 64 minutes, Lúcio Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When Márcio Lara fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sambaqui's protests and gave Márcio Lara a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sambaqui getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Márcio Lara hit a great ball. Waldir Sá came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Esperança's Jeremias Mazza. But to his dismay, Jeremias Mazza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 91 minutes into the match, Sambaqui's goal looked a bit too open when Walmyr França came free, but Waldir Sá reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Walmyr França recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
