When Benjamin Tande came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the FC Vila Naticos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Tande couldn't finish the play. Serafim Carneiro's late challenge caught a Centro de Formação 101A's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Serafim Carneiro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Vila Naticos's Serafim Carneiro got a free kick in the 5th minute. Benê de Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Edgar Vander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the FC Vila Naticos defense, Benê de Azevedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgar Vander. The FC Vila Naticos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgar Vander should have stopped the shot. If Enrique Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benê de Azevedo during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Leopoldo Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Gaúcho in the 29th minute of play. Benê de Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgar Vander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerônimo Cardoso in the 35th minute of play. Centro de Formação 101A's Benê de Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edgar Vander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerônimo Cardoso in the 41st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Gaúcho in the 46th minute of play forced Centro de Formação 101A's goalkeeper Leopoldo Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benê de Azevedo was the one to do the kick off. Edgar Vander made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Benê de Azevedo sent off a good shot on target. Benê de Azevedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Edgar Vander made a huge save. After 56 played minutes FC Vila Naticos got a freekick which was hit by Serafim Carneiro. Jerônimo Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Vander having to interfere. A long shot from Luciano Abraão in the 64th minute of play was well struck, but Edgar Vander made a really good save at the right post. After 74 played minutes, Centro de Formação 101A's Luciano Abraão shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edgar Vander came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Centro de Formação 101A reached it. Edgar Vander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerônimo Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After a rather tough play, FC Vila Naticos's Serafim Carneiro got a free kick in the 78th minute. A collision led to FC Vila Naticos getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Marcus Sousa hit a great ball. Leopoldo Baptista came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Vila Naticos's Serafim Carneiro. But to his dismay, Serafim Carneiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 86 minutes into the match, Centro de Formação 101A's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Tande came free, but Leopoldo Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to FC Vila Naticos getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Serafim Carneiro hit a great ball. Edgar Vander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerônimo Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the game, Benjamin Tande cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Leopoldo Baptista was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
