The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waldir Sá stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Murillo Gaúcho's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. In the 26th minute, Ulisses Almeida ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Waldir Sá was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Waldir Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murillo Gaúcho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Toropy defense, Lúcio Gomes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of César Araújo. The Toropy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that César Araújo should have stopped the shot. Lúcio Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without César Araújo having to interfere. In the 40th minute Geovanni Siqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but César Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulisses Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd match minute, Sambaqui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beto Garcia to maneuver through the defense. Fábio de Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Sambaqui's Aníbal Lima couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 70th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Toropy. Sambaqui's Waldir Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murillo Gaúcho in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute Murillo Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute, Isaltino Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waldir Sá made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Ulisses Almeida sent off a good shot on target. César Araújo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lúcio Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toropy's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
