In the 16th minute Alexsandro Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 22 minutes of play, Canada's Alexsandro Figueiredo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alberto Sá was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alberto Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexsandro Figueiredo in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Canada's goal looked a bit too open when Guilherme de Godoi came free, but Tarcisio Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexsandro Carioca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexsandro Figueiredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Alberto Sá came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Canada's Amílton Félix. But to his dismay, Amílton Félix quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 42nd minute, Jeferson Britto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amílton Félix made a kick off. Canada's Tarcisio Marinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guilherme de Godoi in the 58th minute of play. Tarcisio Marinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guilherme de Godoi in the 60th minute of play. A collision led to Canada getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Carlos Augusto Toledo hit a great ball. In the 62ndth minute of the game Alexsandro Carioca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canada's Tarcisio Marinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Jeferson Britto fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Reborn FC's protests and gave Jeferson Britto a yellow card for diving instead. Jeferson Britto hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Alberto Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amílton Félix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Guilherme de Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reborn FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guilherme de Godoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tarcisio Marinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Reborn FC's Alexsandro Carioca got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, Reborn FC's Guilherme de Godoi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tarcisio Marinho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jeferson Britto got his second yellow card in the match during the 89th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Canada booed when Reborn FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeferson Britto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amílton Félix might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alberto Sá. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amílton Félix ran back to his position shaking his head. The Canada players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
