The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Carnaubal SS. After 26 played minutes Carnaubal SS got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Sanches. Abel Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wágner Eger in the 29th minute of play. Pedro Luiz Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geraldo Pitta having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Carnaubal SS's Jânio Hermes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Geraldo Pitta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, Carnaubal SS's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto da Cunha came free, but Abel Fantini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wágner Eger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. In the 82nd minute Pedro Luiz Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geraldo Pitta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
