Benjamim Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Jaime Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute Abelardo Santana suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. Dagoberto Dracena kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Ekos Fc's José Augusto Hoffmann got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 25 minutes, Benjamim Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamim Barral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. José Augusto Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrézinho Mazza having to interfere. Alex Moreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andrézinho Mazza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. When Tomé Brodel came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Eao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomé Brodel couldn't finish the play. José Augusto Hoffmann struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Andrézinho Mazza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ekos Fc. José Augusto Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claudinho de Queirós during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Eao getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Claudinho de Queirós hit a great ball. If Tomé Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamim Barral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The wind increased when Benjamim Barral made the kick off in the second half. If Tomé Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. When Benedito de Alcântara fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ekos Fc's protests and gave Benedito de Alcântara a yellow card for diving instead. After 61 played minutes Ekos Fc got a freekick which was hit by Benedito de Alcântara. Jaime Marinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamim Barral in the 68th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Alex Moreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomé Brodel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jaime Marinho having to make a save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Eao had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
