After the first half Drogaria Esperança FC. were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amílton Félix to make the kick off. Alexsandro Figueiredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Drogaria Esperança FC.'s Sílvio Luiz Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexsandro Figueiredo in the 57th minute of play. Alexsandro Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luiz Barbosa having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Canada's João Augusto Secco got a free kick in the 61st minute. The long shot by Aílton Amaral in the 62nd minute really tested Tarcisio Marinho's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Canada's Tarcisio Marinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Canada from getting a goal against them. 0-2 became the score in the 69th minute when Adilson Viana elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. A collision led to Canada getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Murillo da Silveira hit a great ball. Tarcisio Marinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adilson Viana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Canada's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aílton Amaral was slow to take the kick. During this time Drogaria Esperança FC.'s players had a chance to rest. If Adilson Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luís Costa did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Tarcisio Marinho 81 minutes into the match. The supporters of Drogaria Esperança FC. booed when Canada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexsandro Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute, Luís Costa made a precise shot to the right of Tarcisio Marinho. Canada's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4.
