After some careless play in the Vila Pindense defense, Yunus Akbora kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cléber Linhares. The Vila Pindense fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cléber Linhares should have stopped the shot. Cléber Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yunus Akbora in the 13th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Silas Massa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute of the match Breno da Cunha shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cléber Linhares showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Lech Pahucki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emerson de Brito in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yunus Akbora in the 35th minute of play forced Vila Pindense's goalkeeper Cléber Linhares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silas Massa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cléber Linhares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Bobbie Bobikov made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Bobbie Bobikov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vila Pindense the free kick. After a rather tough play, E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's Yunus Akbora fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Vila Pindense booed when E. C. Flamengo Paraibano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silas Massa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emerson de Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Emerson de Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vila Pindense's supporters rose to their feet, but Emerson de Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lech Pahucki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79th minute, Bobbie Bobikov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Yunus Akbora took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Cléber Linhares to make any attempt to save it. When the final whistle sounded E. C. Flamengo Paraibano left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Vila Pindense.
