54 minutes into the match, Adeus Metallica's goalkeeper Noel Marquez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michel Fonseca. When Arlindo Cavalcante came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Resende F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arlindo Cavalcante couldn't finish the play. Noel Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arlindo Cavalcante, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Michel Fonseca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Noel Marquez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
