The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronaldo Leite was the one to do the kick off. Michel Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Saraiva having to interfere. Caio Netto hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Ronaldo Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute Ronaldo Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but César Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Arlindo Cavalcante left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Resende F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Basílio Saraiva came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Resende F.C's Michel Fonseca. But to his dismay, Michel Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the game, Caio Netto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Resende F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VORTHIMAN FC the free kick. Basílio Saraiva was left in no man's land by his defense there! 91 minutes into the match, Resende F.C's Michel Fonseca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Basílio Saraiva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Resende F.C fans cheered their team off the field, for while VORTHIMAN FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
