Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) Tejuco's Olavo Baptista started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tiaguinho Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Pedro Monteiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Olavo Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiaguinho Moreira having to interfere. After 6th play minutes Olavo Baptista shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Tiaguinho Moreira and just under the crossbar into goal. After some careless play in the Queimados AD defense, José Pedro Monteiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiaguinho Moreira. The Queimados AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiaguinho Moreira should have stopped the shot. Olavo Baptista charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olavo Baptista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Olavo Baptista kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Tiaguinho Moreira came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Tejuco's Carlos Eduardo Costa. But to his dismay, Carlos Eduardo Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After having played for 19 minutes, Fernando Sarmento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tejuco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Sarmento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Eduardo Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Pedro Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Tiaguinho Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If José Pedro Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Queimados AD's goal looked a bit too open when Olavo Baptista came free, but Tiaguinho Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tejuco's Fernando Sarmento got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Sarmento in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiaguinho Moreira saved Queimados AD from getting behind. Queimados AD's Tiaguinho Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Sarmento in the 31st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olavo Baptista in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiaguinho Moreira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34th minute, one of Tejuco:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tejuco. In the 42nd minute, Carlos Eduardo Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Carlos Eduardo Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th match minute, Queimados AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renatinho Paraibano to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rodolfo Vieira to strike the kick off in the second half. Carlos Eduardo Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 58th minute, Renatinho Paraibano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Eduardo Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiaguinho Moreira having to interfere. Fernando Sarmento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiaguinho Moreira having to interfere. Carlos Eduardo Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 69 minutes of play, Tejuco's Carlos Eduardo Costa made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tiaguinho Moreira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tejuco's José Pedro Monteiro got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tiaguinho Moreira made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when José Pedro Monteiro sent off a good shot on target. Queimados AD's Tiaguinho Moreira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Queimados AD from getting a goal against them. Carlos Eduardo Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiaguinho Moreira having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Tejuco's Olavo Baptista slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tiaguinho Moreira. That made the score 1-5 after 81 minutes of play. In the 84th minute, Fernando Sarmento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tiaguinho Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Eduardo Costa in the 90th minute of the match. Tejuco's Olavo Baptista got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tiaguinho Moreira made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when José Pedro Monteiro sent off a good shot on target. When the match was over Tejuco could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Queimados AD throughout the match.
