Capia FC's Sílvio Luís Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdir Pires in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute, Pedro Luís Britto made a precise shot to the right of Sílvio Luís Mota. Capia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 9 minutes into the match, Oliveira Castro's goal looked a bit too open when Magno dos Santos came free, but João Carlos Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clemente de Barros struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. João Carlos Veiga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capia FC. After having played for 13 minutes, Pedro Luís Britto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oliveira Castro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Luís Britto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 14 played minutes Oliveira Castro got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sena. Capia FC's Sílvio Luís Mota proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Capia FC from getting a goal against them. Magno dos Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Magno dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Pedro Luís Britto came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Oliveira Castro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Luís Britto couldn't finish the play. Valdir Pires succeeded in the game's 30th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Diamantino Lara kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sílvio Luís Mota. That made the score 3-0 in the 35 minute of play. Pedro Luís Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sílvio Luís Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdir Pires in the 41st minute of the match. With his leg Sílvio Luís Mota managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Oliveira Castro's Valdir Pires fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sílvio Luís Mota made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Luís Britto in the 44th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valdir Pires made a kick off. Valdir Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Sílvio Luís Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Oliveira Castro's Pedro Luís Britto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sílvio Luís Mota narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Pedro Luís Britto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oliveira Castro's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Luís Britto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sílvio Luís Mota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sílvio Luís Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdir Pires in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Magno dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Carlos Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Capia FC's João Carlos Veiga threw himself towards the right post 65 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Magno dos Santos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 72 minutes into the match, Oliveira Castro's goalkeeper João Carlos Veiga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clemente de Barros. After having played for 73 minutes, Magno dos Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Magno dos Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 4-0 became the score in the 77th minute when Valdir Pires elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Sílvio Luís Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luís Britto in the 83rd minute of play. In the 88th minute Valdir Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luís Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Pedro Luís Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Capia FC's zone, Valdir Pires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sílvio Luís Mota came out of the goal and Valdir Pires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Capia FC's Anísio Trevisan got a free kick in the 92nd minute. 94 minutes into the game, Valdir Pires cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Sílvio Luís Mota was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Oliveira Castro fully deserved thier win.
