Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fernandinho Montenegro started the match with the kick off. After 7 minutes, Luiz Paulo Ramos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Black Rovers FC and the Clube Atlético Piracicaba players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th match minute, Black Rovers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Paulo Ramos to maneuver through the defense. Edu Dracena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernandinho Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute Horácio Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Augusto Lopez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Black Rovers FC's Edu Dracena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernandinho Montenegro in the 11th minute of play. Fernandinho Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edu Dracena having to interfere. After 16 minutes of play, Clube Atlético Piracicaba's Fernandinho Montenegro made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edu Dracena was left in no man's land by his defense there! With his leg Edu Dracena managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Clube Atlético Piracicaba's Fernandinho Montenegro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 22ndth minute of the game Paulão Antunes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Black Rovers FC's Edu Dracena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Clube Atlético Piracicaba defense, Horácio Matorin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Augusto Lopez. The Clube Atlético Piracicaba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Augusto Lopez should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernandinho Montenegro got free with Edu Dracena in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fernandinho Montenegro in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Edu Dracena, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Clube Atlético Piracicaba's Paulão Antunes got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Augusto Lopez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horácio Matorin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulão Antunes in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Edu Dracena, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 39 minutes into the match, Black Rovers FC's goalkeeper Edu Dracena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernandinho Montenegro. The Clube Atlético Piracicaba fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Clube Atlético Piracicaba's Fernandinho Montenegro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Marcus Melo struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Edu Dracena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clube Atlético Piracicaba. Marcus Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Edu Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Fernandinho Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Clube Atlético Piracicaba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernandinho Montenegro couldn't finish the play. If Paulão Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edu Dracena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernandinho Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Fernandinho Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Edu Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute of the game Dito Cruz made a throw-in which Matheus Prestes played forward. Edu Dracena came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Clube Atlético Piracicaba's Fernandinho Montenegro. But to his dismay, Fernandinho Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After a defensive mix-up in Black Rovers FC's zone, Fernandinho Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edu Dracena came out of the goal and Fernandinho Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute Hílton Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edu Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edu Dracena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernandinho Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Clube Atlético Piracicaba had played much better football throughout.
