After a defensive mix-up in Black Rovers FC's zone, Ademir Corrêa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edu Dracena came out of the goal and Ademir Corrêa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edu Dracena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Délio Amorim in the 17th minute of play. Cesinha Berger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Paulo Ramos in the 20th minute of the match. With a little luck, Black Rovers FC's Edu Dracena got control of the ball when Roberto Pontes tried to sneak it across the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Luiz Paulo Ramos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Cesinha Berger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luiz Paulo Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
