The supporters of Oliveira Castro booed when Itapiruna SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dudu Sanches didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 54 played minutes Oliveira Castro got a freekick which was hit by Ediberto de Brito. João Carlos Veiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlinhos Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Pedro Luís Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dinei Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luís Britto in the 95th minute of the match. Carlinhos Penha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valdir Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. The Itapiruna SC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Itapiruna SC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
