Gernando Mesquita came out of the goal and Ronaldo Gaspar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Giuseppe Pimenta might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gernando Mesquita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Giuseppe Pimenta ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Pacaparra FC defense, João Paulo Correia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gernando Mesquita. The Pacaparra FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gernando Mesquita should have stopped the shot. Juninho Salles made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Rafa Berger sent off a good shot on target. Pacaparra FC's Gernando Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giuseppe Pimenta in the 31st minute of play. The supporters of Giqui booed when Pacaparra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olívio Passos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute of the match Ronaldo Gaspar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gernando Mesquita showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After the first half Giqui were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Pacaparra FC's players were relieved. 61 minutes into the match, Giqui's Ronaldo Gaspar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gernando Mesquita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 62 minutes into the match, Pacaparra FC's goalkeeper Gernando Mesquita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Paulo Correia. When Giuseppe Pimenta came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Giqui fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giuseppe Pimenta couldn't finish the play. When Alfredinho de Moraes fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pacaparra FC's protests and gave Alfredinho de Moraes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Giqui booed when Pacaparra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredinho de Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 69 minutes, Ronaldo Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Giqui's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldo Gaspar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Paulo Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gernando Mesquita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 79th minute of the match Giqui got a corner. Pacaparra FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ronaldo Gaspar ran over to the corner to take the kick. João Paulo Correia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Gernando Mesquita made a huge save. In the 85th minute, Olívio Passos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gernando Mesquita was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ronaldo Gaspar. A collision led to Pacaparra FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Rafa Berger hit a great ball. João Paulo Correia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Gernando Mesquita when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Ronaldo Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Pacaparra FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Rafa Berger hit a great ball. João Paulo Correia in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gernando Mesquita, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 96 minutes in the game, Ronaldo Gaspar fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gernando Mesquita having to interfere. When the match was over Giqui could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pacaparra FC throughout the match.
