With a little luck, Pacaparra FC's Gernando Mesquita got control of the ball when Rafael Furtado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aloísio Prestes charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aloísio Prestes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19thth minute of the game Frederico do Vale who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pacaparra FC's Gernando Mesquita was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 21st minute, Frederico do Vale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rafael Furtado was extremely unlucky when he, in the 22nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 23 minutes into the match, Frederico do Vale notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Pacaparra FC's Gernando Mesquita. Pacaparra FC's Gernando Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico do Vale in the 42nd minute of play. In the 46th minute Frederico do Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gernando Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Pacaparra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frederico do Vale came free, but Gernando Mesquita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marco Alcântara was the one to do the kick off. Genílson Braga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Beto de Souza made a huge save. If Frederico do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rafael Furtado came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Manacanau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Furtado couldn't finish the play. Olívio Passos hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Gernando Mesquita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederico do Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 63rd match minute, Pacaparra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafa Berger to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Rafael Furtado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 66thth minute of the game Frederico do Vale who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pacaparra FC's Gernando Mesquita was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the game, Marco Alcântara recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Beto de Souza. Marco Alcântara showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Manacanau's Frederico do Vale got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rafael Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olívio Passos's late challenge caught a Manacanau's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olívio Passos helped the player get up and apologised. José Carlos Queirós was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 84th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Frederico do Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manacanau's supporters rose to their feet, but Frederico do Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gernando Mesquita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Manacanau fully deserved thier win.
