Spectators: 7280 (Terracing: 5462, Seating: 1674, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. João Paulo Correia started the match with the kick off. Falcão Baiano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronaldo Gaspar went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Falcão Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Paulo Correia in the 7th minute of play. In the 10th minute Giuseppe Pimenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Paulo Correia in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Falcão Baiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Giqui's João Paulo Correia in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Delwius F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Giqui booed when Delwius F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Guilherme Secco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronaldo Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the match, Delwius F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Gaspar came free, but Falcão Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juninho Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Maranhense, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Bruninho Mello struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Juninho Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Delwius F.C.. In the 35th minute, Richard Maranhense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the game, Giuseppe Pimenta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Giqui's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Delwius F.C. the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorival Vale in the 38th minute of play forced Giqui's goalkeeper Juninho Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronaldo Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falcão Baiano having to interfere. Juninho Salles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruninho Mello in the 44th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Osvaldinho Matorin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Juninho Salles. That made the score 1-2 in the 45 minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Ronaldo Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Giqui's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldo Gaspar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Falcão Baiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Delwius F.C.'s Falcão Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Gaspar in the 55th minute of play. Juninho Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruninho Mello, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Ronaldo Gaspar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute, Osvaldinho Matorin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When João Paulo Correia came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Giqui fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Paulo Correia couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Horácio Nogueira during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Falcão Baiano was a little too slow when Ronaldo Gaspar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 1-3. Giuseppe Pimenta received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Falcão Baiano came out and tried to block the shot, but Giuseppe Pimenta slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 79th minute. Ronaldo Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute Dorival Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juninho Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giqui played a much better game than Delwius F.C. and deserved their victory. The Delwius F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
