Anísio Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 6 minutes into the game, Giuseppe Prata cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Flavinho Cardozo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 9 minutes into the match, Perus AD's goal looked a bit too open when Afonsinho Cosme came free, but Flavinho Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Perus AD getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Jailson Oliveira hit a great ball. When Perus AD's Anísio Rodrigues in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SaoPauloFC's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Giuseppe Prata in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavinho Cardozo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Afonsinho Cosme took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flavinho Cardozo. Flavinho Cardozo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Flavinho Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonsinho Cosme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonsinho Cosme in the 29th minute of play forced Perus AD's goalkeeper Flavinho Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anísio Rodrigues took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wanderson Freire. Wanderson Freire dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. SaoPauloFC's Wanderson Freire proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save SaoPauloFC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonsinho Cosme in the 45th minute of play forced Perus AD's goalkeeper Flavinho Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to SaoPauloFC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Caco Prestes hit a great ball. In the 48th minute of the match Michel Cordeiro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wanderson Freire skillfully saved the ball. The Perus AD players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SaoPauloFC were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Afonsinho Cosme was the one to do the kick off. If Raimundo Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anísio Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Wanderson Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wanderson Freire stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reginaldo França's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Perus AD's Flavinho Cardozo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Perus AD from getting a goal against them. Flavinho Cardozo made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Wilson Lalu sent off a good shot on target. If Reginaldo França had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavinho Cardozo made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Afonsinho Cosme sent off a good shot on target. Flavinho Cardozo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilson Lalu in the 75th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anísio Rodrigues in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wanderson Freire saved SaoPauloFC from getting behind. Flavinho Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giuseppe Prata in the 83rd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Perus AD's goalkeeper Flavinho Cardozo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilson Lalu. Wanderson Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anísio Rodrigues in the 87th minute of play. Wilson Lalu kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. SaoPauloFC's Fiori Martins was substituted for Caco Prestes. After 94 played minutes SaoPauloFC got a freekick which was hit by Wilson Lalu. The SaoPauloFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
