Bruninho Mello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonsinho Cosme in the 10th minute of play forced Delwius F.C.'s goalkeeper Falcão Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Falcão Baiano came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by SaoPauloFC's Wilson Lalu. But to his dismay, Wilson Lalu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, SaoPauloFC's goalkeeper Wanderson Freire had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruninho Mello. If Afonsinho Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afonsinho Cosme in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Falcão Baiano saved Delwius F.C. from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Lalu in the 20th minute of play forced Delwius F.C.'s goalkeeper Falcão Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caco Prestes hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Wanderson Freire didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dorival Vale went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Falcão Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonsinho Cosme in the 33rd minute of the match. After 34 played minutes SaoPauloFC got a freekick which was hit by Wilson Lalu. Bruninho Mello came free with the goalkeeper in the 35th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Wanderson Freire could save by the left post. In the 36th minute, Afonsinho Cosme left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SaoPauloFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Falcão Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonsinho Cosme in the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute Wilson Lalu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Afonsinho Cosme in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Falcão Baiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dorival Vale made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Afonsinho Cosme managed to get in a good position for a shot. SaoPauloFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonsinho Cosme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Falcão Baiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Falcão Baiano was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Wilson Lalu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wilson Lalu really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Delwius F.C.'s Falcão Baiano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Delwius F.C. from getting a goal against them. After having played for 61 minutes, Wilson Lalu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SaoPauloFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilson Lalu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Afonsinho Cosme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Falcão Baiano made a huge save. 63 minutes into the game, Osvaldinho Matorin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Delwius F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SaoPauloFC the free kick. After 64 played minutes Delwius F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldinho Matorin. Falcão Baiano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonsinho Cosme in the 66th minute. After 67 played minutes Delwius F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldinho Matorin. 70 minutes into the game, SaoPauloFC's Afonsinho Cosme nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Falcão Baiano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. SaoPauloFC's Caco Prestes shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 74th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Falcão Baiano but with some difficulty. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giuseppe Prata in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Falcão Baiano saved Delwius F.C. from getting behind. 1-5 came through a penalty shot after 83 played minutes, when SaoPauloFC:s Moisés Fantini calmly waited for Delwius F.C.:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Falcão Baiano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonsinho Cosme in the 88th minute. Wilson Lalu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SaoPauloFC's Fiori Martins was substituted for Caco Prestes. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afonsinho Cosme got free with Falcão Baiano in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, SaoPauloFC's Afonsinho Cosme got a free kick in the 95th minute. Paulão Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. SaoPauloFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
