Júlio Tasso started the match with the kick off. Júlio Maranhense had several of the Lanceiro FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 3 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Rubinho Bueno as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 7th minute, Júlio Maranhense made a precise shot to the right of Rubinho Bueno. Lanceiro FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 14th match minute, Lanceiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Custódio to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of CRAC FC booed when Lanceiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Custódio's late challenge caught a CRAC FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Custódio helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Lanceiro FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Paulo Custódio hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lanceiro FC's zone, Júlio Maranhense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubinho Bueno came out of the goal and Júlio Maranhense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Rubinho Bueno managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when CRAC FC's Júlio Maranhense fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 40 minutes into the match, Lanceiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hélio Souza came free, but Rubinho Bueno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Hélio Souza took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Rubinho Bueno to make any attempt to save it. Nico Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Leme in the 46th minute of play. CRAC FC's Nico Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Tasso in the 49th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Hélio Souza made the kick off in the second half. Ronaldinho Veiga made a great header on CRAC FC's corner, it was just that Lanceiro FC's Rubinho Bueno managed to reach the ball for a save. Rubinho Bueno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélio Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Rubinho Bueno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. CRAC FC fully deserved thier win.
