In the 4th minute Hudson Barral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lauro Pombal made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Nuno Novaes sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 9 minutes, Oscar Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ipucaba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oscar Salles scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Afonso Catarinense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 18th minute, Belmiro Baiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19thth minute of the game Oscar Salles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Burizeiro's Afonso Catarinense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Ipucaba's Válter Mangueira tried to score from far away in the 23rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 28th minute by Nuno Novaes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Oscar Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Catarinense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oscar Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hudson Barral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hudson Barral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Afonso Catarinense came out of the goal and Hudson Barral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Afonso Catarinense was a little too slow when Hudson Barral got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 0-3. Afonso Catarinense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hudson Barral's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Lauro Pombal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonçalo Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Gonçalo Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Lauro Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 92 played minutes Ipucaba got a freekick which was hit by Mané Trevisan. The Burizeiro fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ipucaba were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
