Thanks to some nice moves João Pedro Costa could shoot a difficult shot in the 19th minute, which Rubinho Bueno however easily saved by the left post. Intrepidoz were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Lanceiro FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. João Carlos Pinheiro took the corner. The corner led Intrepidoz's João Carlos Pinheiro to fire away a dangerous shot which Rubinho Bueno despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Júlio Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olívio de Godoi having to interfere. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the match, Intrepidoz's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Leme came free, but Olívio de Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute, Intrepidoz's Renatinho Pires dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Tasso in the 47th minute of play forced Intrepidoz's goalkeeper Olívio de Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Júlio Tasso was the one to do the kick off. Olívio de Godoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Júlio Tasso's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Luís Leme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Olívio de Godoi made a huge save. When Júlio Tasso, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 55 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Olívio de Godoi was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When Júlio Tasso came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Lanceiro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio Tasso couldn't finish the play. Renatinho Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If João Pedro Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the match, João Pedro Costa notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Lanceiro FC's Rubinho Bueno. Rubinho Bueno was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
