Olívio de Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hudson Barral, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Oscar Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olívio de Godoi having to interfere. Oscar Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Olívio de Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Intrepidoz's Olívio de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hudson Barral in the 32nd minute of play. Oscar Salles's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Olívio de Godoi firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Hudson Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ipucaba's supporters rose to their feet, but Hudson Barral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olívio de Godoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Renatinho Pires stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Hudson Barral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olívio de Godoi was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Olívio de Godoi was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Renatinho Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Intrepidoz booed when Ipucaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ipucaba had won after a very even match.
