Laerte Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tatu Futebol Clube's Juan Prado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Tatu Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Borges in the 44th minute of play forced Tatu Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Juan Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nando Pombal in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Afonso Catarinense saved Burizeiro from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gonçalo Borges was the one to do the kick off.
