Renatinho Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Catarinense having to interfere. Gonçalo Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 13 minutes, Gonçalo Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Burizeiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonçalo Borges was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hudson Mineiro hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Gonçalo Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Burizeiro's goalkeeper Afonso Catarinense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Burizeiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Gonçalo Borges was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olívio de Godoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gonçalo Borges made a kick off. In the 61st minute Nuno Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olívio de Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gonçalo Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Olívio de Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 69 minutes of play, Intrepidoz's João Pedro Costa made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Afonso Catarinense was left in no man's land by his defense there! Durval Donatello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonso Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renatinho Pires in the 84th minute of the match. When Cícero Cabral fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Intrepidoz's protests and gave Cícero Cabral a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Burizeiro booed when Intrepidoz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cícero Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hudson Mineiro kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Gonçalo Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olívio de Godoi having to interfere. In the 96th match minute, Intrepidoz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulão Alagoano to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Burizeiro fully deserved thier win.
