With his leg Marcelinho Branco managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when CS Vasco Paulista's Douglas Santos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 28 minutes into the match, Szczepan Klawki dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcelinho Branco, 2-0. 31 minutes into the match, Conrado Nascimento notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of CS Vasco Paulista's Vânderson Santana. Szczepan Klawki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelinho Branco having to interfere.

Conrado Nascimento hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The supporters of CS Vasco Paulista booed when Bonecu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reginaldo Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. CS Vasco Paulista's Szczepan Klawki got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The CS Vasco Paulista fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when CS Vasco Paulista's Szczepan Klawki looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. In the 71st minute, Szczepan Klawki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CS Vasco Paulista fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Szczepan Klawki in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelinho Branco saved Bonecu from getting behind. The supporters of CS Vasco Paulista booed when Bonecu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Natanael Ceresso managed to get in a good position for a shot. CS Vasco Paulista's supporters rose to their feet, but Natanael Ceresso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelinho Branco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 88 minutes into the match, Bonecu's goal looked a bit too open when Szczepan Klawki came free, but Marcelinho Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Szczepan Klawki managed to get in a good position for a shot.
