But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nilton Moraes couldn't finish the play. Luiz Fabiano Baptista kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Ulysses Santana sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Toronto Raptors's Richard Cosme didn't even have to move. Ronaldo Dionísio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glauco Branco having to interfere. Patrick Sousa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Richard Cosme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Tales Brodel hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, Ulysses Santana sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Toronto Raptors's Richard Cosme didn't even have to move. Richard Cosme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilton Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nilton Moraes in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Richard Cosme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 43rd minute, Toronto Raptors's Jailson Magalhães ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Glauco Branco. Glauco Branco yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 46th minute, João Pedro Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nilton Moraes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Rival FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alessandro do Valle came free, but Glauco Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Toronto Raptors's Ronaldo Dionísio in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Toronto Raptors's supporters rose to their feet, but Jailson Magalhães was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Glauco Branco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 74 minutes into the game, Nilton Moraes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jailson Magalhães ran back to his position shaking his head. Rival FC's Glauco Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Dionísio in the 79th minute of play. Jailson Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patrick Sousa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Richard Cosme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Toronto Raptors's Alessandro do Valle got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
