Spectators: 7023 (Terracing: 5393, Seating: 1600, VIP seats: 30) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sidney Brito kicked off to start the match. In the 14th minute, Cristiano Pires got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 16 minutes of play, Trovão Azul's Sidney Brito made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Acácio Diniz was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 22nd match minute, Trovão Azul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Santos to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Trovão Azul's zone, João Mazza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Prado came out of the goal and João Mazza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute, Gugu Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Mazza made a kick off. If Sidney Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the game, Artur Siqueira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Artur Prado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Siqueira in the 58th minute of play forced Trovão Azul's goalkeeper Artur Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Acácio Diniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 63rd minute of the match Gugu Mendes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Artur Prado skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Artur Siqueira in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Artur Prado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Acácio Diniz was a little too slow when Sidney Brito got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 2-2. Artur Siqueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Prado having to interfere. In the 81st minute Caetano de Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Prado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lib57 FC's João Mazza got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 88 played minutes Trovão Azul got a freekick which was hit by César Nunes. A collision led to Lib57 FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Luiz Fábio Cerezo hit a great ball. Cristiano Pires could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Acácio Diniz made a huge save. If Sidney Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Trovão Azul players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Lib57 FC.
