Spectators: 7203 (Terracing: 5404, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hugo Moura started the match with the kick off. When Luís Gustavo Gaúcho came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Euniverso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Gustavo Gaúcho couldn't finish the play. In the 10th minute, Basílio Matorin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexandre Albuquerque was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 15th minute, Hugo Moura fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Álvaro Oliveira, passed just outside the right post. Álvaro Oliveira didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 16th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. After having played for 23 minutes, Ruy Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vila Izabel Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruy Leal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 25 minutes into the game, Charles Trancoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Euniverso's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vila Izabel Futebol Clube the free kick. After 25 played minutes Euniverso got a freekick which was hit by Charles Trancoso. In the 26th minute, Carlinhos Reis sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Euniverso's Álvaro Oliveira didn't even have to move. In the 30th minute, Jonas Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the match, Vila Izabel Futebol Clube's Carlinhos Reis broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Gerson Siqueiras short, quick shot in the 49thth minute got Álvaro Oliveira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.

The wind increased when Basílio Matorin made the kick off in the second half. When Zé Carlos Macedo came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Euniverso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Carlos Macedo couldn't finish the play. Luís Gustavo Gaúcho took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alexandre Albuquerque. Alexandre Albuquerque dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Euniverso's zone, Hugo Moura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Álvaro Oliveira came out of the goal and Hugo Moura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Euniverso's Álvaro Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Moura in the 68th minute of play. Álvaro Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruy Leal in the 71st minute of the match. A collision led to Euniverso getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Zé Carlos Macedo hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, Vila Izabel Futebol Clube's Ruy Leal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Álvaro Oliveira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Basílio Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the match, Euniverso's goal looked a bit too open when Ruy Leal came free, but Álvaro Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonas Macedo kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Alexandre Albuquerque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basílio Matorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 93rdth minute of the game Hugo Moura who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Euniverso's Álvaro Oliveira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Euniverso eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
