Spectators: 6671 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1671, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ernesto Diniz got the match started through his kick off. Delfim Passos went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Delfim Passos got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcos Duarte quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 16 minutes into the match, Benê Carneiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Duarte. Ibiaci SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benê Carneiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 20 played minutes, Ingaseiro's Orlando Barral shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcos Duarte came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ingaseiro reached it. Laércio Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Benê Carneiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 27 minutes of play, Ingaseiro's Benê Carneiro made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Duarte was left in no man's land by his defense there! Laércio Veloso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Duarte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Laércio Veloso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcos Duarte having to make a save. In the 36th minute Laércio Veloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benê Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Laércio Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Marcos Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ibiaci SS's Marcos Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benê Carneiro in the 46th minute of play. When Laércio Veloso came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Ingaseiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laércio Veloso couldn't finish the play. The Ibiaci SS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ingaseiro were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benê Carneiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Ingaseiro's goal looked a bit too open when Andrézinho Brasil came free, but Vicente Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benê Carneiro in the 62nd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Ibiaci SS's Ernesto Diniz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vicente Abreu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Duarte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcos Duarte was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Benê Carneiro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 79 minute of play. Andrézinho Brasil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Laércio Veloso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ingaseiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Laércio Veloso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Duarte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 93rd minute, Benê Carneiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ingaseiro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Ingaseiro played a much better game than Ibiaci SS and deserved their victory. The Ibiaci SS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
