Vila Izabel Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grêmio Jaraguá FC the free kick. After 13 played minutes, Grêmio Jaraguá FC's Antônio Carlos Dias shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alexandre Albuquerque came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Grêmio Jaraguá FC reached it. In the 15th minute Josué de Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Albuquerque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The nice shot from Ruy Leal in the 17thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Ramiro Koehler had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Vila Izabel Futebol Clube's Gerson Siqueira pulled a muscle in his back after 18 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After a rather tough play, Grêmio Jaraguá FC's Murillo Arce got a free kick in the 19th minute. Carlos Alberto Luz struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Alexandre Albuquerque didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grêmio Jaraguá FC. In the 25th minute, Josué de Lara made a precise shot to the right of Alexandre Albuquerque. Vila Izabel Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Vila Izabel Futebol Clube's zone, Josué de Lara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Albuquerque came out of the goal and Josué de Lara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto Luz in the 41st minute of play forced Vila Izabel Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Alexandre Albuquerque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruy Leal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Grêmio Jaraguá FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Carlos Alberto Luz made the kick off in the second half. Ramiro Koehler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruy Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ruy Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Ramiro Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Vila Izabel Futebol Clube! The referee gave Grêmio Jaraguá FC a penalty, 72 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Antônio Carlos Dias, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Vila Izabel Futebol Clube's Alexandre Albuquerque. 0-2. Grêmio Jaraguá FC's Murillo Arce got his second yellow card of the match in the 74th minute. The referee ordered Murillo Arce off the ground. Murillo Arce kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Alexandre Albuquerque made an important save on a dangerous shot by Josué de Lara in the 78th minute. A collision led to Vila Izabel Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Fabrício Castro hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Josué de Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grêmio Jaraguá FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Josué de Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandre Albuquerque breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ruy Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramiro Koehler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruy Leal in the 87th minute of play.
