The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee ignored Ingaseiro's protests and gave Silvinho Freire a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ingaseiro getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Silvinho Freire hit a great ball. Gororos's Rui Coelho couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 16th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ingaseiro. Gororos's Richard Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laércio Veloso in the 19th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Laércio Veloso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Richard Vargas was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio Veloso in the 23rd minute of play forced Gororos's goalkeeper Richard Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Ingaseiro fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Ingaseiro's Benê Carneiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio Veloso in the 43rd minute of play forced Gororos's goalkeeper Richard Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Gororos's Benedito de Souza got a free kick in the 48th minute.

If Betinho de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ingaseiro's zone, Christian Xavier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Abreu came out of the goal and Christian Xavier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Richard Vargas was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Benê Carneiro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Benê Carneiro really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Gororos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Benê Carneiro scored to the left of an out of position Richard Vargas, making the score, 0-4. When Ingaseiro's Benê Carneiro in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gororos's goalie prevented a goal. 76 minutes into the match, Gororos's goalkeeper Richard Vargas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laércio Veloso. After some careless play in the Ingaseiro defense, Betinho de Sena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vicente Abreu. The Ingaseiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vicente Abreu should have stopped the shot.
