In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Athletico Redemptor's goalkeeper Danilo Vinhas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, Club Athletico Redemptor's Wilson de Salles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hamílton Vander narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Humberto Garcia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hamílton Vander having to make a save. Acácio Baptista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Diversus F.C.'s zone, Humberto Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamílton Vander came out of the goal and Humberto Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Wilson de Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danilo Vinhas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitório Varela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sílvio Luís Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Diversus F.C.'s Durvalino Nogueira tried to score from far away in the 39th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Humberto Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Humberto Garcia in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hamílton Vander, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vitório Varela to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredinho de Barros got free with Danilo Vinhas in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 56th minute, Wilson de Salles made a precise shot to the right of Hamílton Vander. Diversus F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 61st match minute, Diversus F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natã de Souza to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Diversus F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Wilson de Salles came free, but Hamílton Vander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute Wilson de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton Vander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Wilson de Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With 79 minutes on the clock, Adilson Monteiro commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 81st minute of the game, Diversus F.C. got a penalty. Válter Netto scored 2-1 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hamílton Vander, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 95 minutes into the match, Diversus F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Garcia came free, but Hamílton Vander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 97 minutes Diversus F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Guto Peres who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Guto Peres almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Diversus F.C.'s Hamílton Vander did a great save. Club Athletico Redemptor were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Diversus F.C. for a fine match.
