Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Osmar Vergílio got the match started through his kick off. 15 minutes into the match, Arapoti's goal looked a bit too open when Osmar Vergílio came free, but Fábio de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Itaperapoan SS's Osmar Vergílio in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arapoti's goalie prevented a goal. Arapoti's Fábio de Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Arapoti from getting a goal against them. Bernardinho Gerber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelsinho Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Osmar Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Osmar Vergílio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Itaperapoan SS's Bernardinho Gerber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fábio Prata in the 31st minute of play. In the 41st minute, Itaperapoan SS's Osmar Vergílio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fábio de Azevedo. Fábio de Azevedo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Nelsinho Alvarenga made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Itaperapoan SS defense, Luiz Fábio Prata kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardinho Gerber. The Itaperapoan SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardinho Gerber should have stopped the shot. Fábio de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osmar Vergílio in the 59th minute of the match. Nelsinho Alvarenga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardinho Gerber having to interfere. Arapoti's Luiz Fábio Prata got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fábio de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renatinho Dante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fábio de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renatinho Dante in the 72nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Arapoti's Zé Carlos Ribeiro got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Thanks to some nice moves Luiz Fábio Prata could shoot a difficult shot in the 86th minute, which Bernardinho Gerber however easily saved by the left post. After 90th play minutes Osmar Vergílio shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Fábio de Azevedo and just under the crossbar into goal. Renatinho Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio de Azevedo having to interfere.
