The supporters of Demolition FC booed when Parnaiba EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilson Brasil didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute Beto Aparecido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Aparecido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Gustavo Neto made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Vítor Cunha in the 45th minute. The Parnaiba EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Demolition FC were winning 0-1.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Vítor Cunha couldn't finish the play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
